Carlby woman paints image of what Mallard Pass solar farm could look like

You are doing such a good job reporting on the awful enormous solar farm. Many people have said to me they can’t imagine what it would look like.

As soon as I read about the project I had a horrible image of 200 black glass field over the area I had observed and presented in my nature journal Lincolnshire Lockdown. I feel so disheartened I have given up my sketch book recordings, I can’t find the time or enthusiasm.

So I have tried to paint what I think the Braceborough road will look like with panels and call it ‘Big Black Blot on the landscape’.

I have tried to photograph it with the hope you may print it to give people an idea which is so different to the official artists impression.
