Burghley Park Cricket Club have won the South Lincs and Border League Championship
Champions Burghley Park ended their South Lincs and Border League campaign in style with a two-wicket home win against Boston on Saturday.
It was a 15th win of the season for Burghley who have dominated the Championship and won the title by 43 points.
They bowled Boston out for 212 with James Laud and Peter Foster finishing with 3-46 and 3-34 respectively.
Opener Alex Ashwin then struck 13 boundaries in his 72 before David Platt pushed Burghley closer to victory with 43.
It was then left to opening bowlers Laud and Foster to seal a final 20 points of the season and complete a memorable campaign.
After the disappointment of the first week loss, just four points have been dropped in the remaining 15 games of the season.
Burghley will now be playing Premier League cricket in 2025 for the first time in the club's 252-year history.
Billingborough were unable to preserve their top flight status after finishing second-from-bottom following a four-wicket home loss to Sleaford 2nds.
Mikey Atkinson top-scored with 57 while Paul Goodwin added 29 as Billingborough were bowled out for 158.
Jacob Light took a couple of wickets in the Sleaford reply but the visitors triumphed with 15 balls of the match remaining.
Bourne 2nds finished one place above Billingborough after being beaten by six wickets against Grantham 2nds in their final game of the season.
Will Gardner and Kurt Storey scored 33 and 34 respectively as Bourne were bowled out for 154 after batting first.
Gardner bowled a tidy 2-30 from his nine overs but opener Stewart Mudie guided Grantham home at the end of the 41st over with an unbeaten 80.
Market Deeping 2nds beat Boston 2nds by eight wickets in Division One to secure a fourth placed finish.
Billingborough 2nds finished in the Division Two relegation zone after losing by 97 runs at Castor 2nds.
Josh Nel picked up three wickets as Castor made 223-7 before Billingborough were bowled out for 126 despite Luke Light making 66.
Baston secured sixth spot after beating Newborough 2nds by 96 runs.
Andy Burrill top-scored with 59 as Baston made 182 before Dhruv Virani took 4-36 with John Lamin claiming 3-14 as Newborough were dismissed for 86.
