It is a key spell for Graham Drury's side who will be aiming to combine their play-off push with making county cup progress.

The Stamford manager said: "It will be a tough game on Saturday and hopefully we'll get a decent crowd because it should be entertaining.

"It will show us where we're at and we're all looking forward to it.

"It should be a good week for the club with having the Boston match as well and having two games will mean that the full squad gets a run out."

Saturday's visitors Telford were tipped to be among the front-runners for honours this term after losing out in the play-offs last season.

They have won their last two league games and currently sit in seventh spot, two points behind third-placed Stamford with a match in hand.

Rhys Hilton - who was with the Daniels last season - is part of the Bucks' squad along with ex-Stamford defender Ellis Myles

However, former Daniels player Nathan Fox has recently departed the Shropshire club after league rivals Spalding United paid an undisclosed fee to sign the full-back which prompted the Bucks to recruit Jordan Cranston from Redditch.

Stamford go into the match after a 1-1 away draw at Leiston on Saturday in what Drury described as a 'fair result.'

Jomar Loza gave the Suffolk side a first half lead from the penalty spot which was cancelled out by a fine equaliser from Tendai Chitiza after the break.

After the weekend, attention will then turn to the county cup clash against Boston United who recently parted company with manager Ian Culverhouse.

Former Doncaster Rovers player Martin Woods has taken temporary charge of the Pilgrims and is being supported by ex-Peterborough and Lincoln defender Michael Bostwick who is the current Boston captain.

Former Aston Villa, Watford and Middlesbrough defender Neil Cox has also been assisting the interim management team.

Stamford attacker Jack Butterfill has joined Northern Premier League Midlands Division club Grantham Town on loan for a month.
