Stamford AFC have retained the services of striker Jack Duffy
Striker Jack Duffy has unfinished business after agreeing to return to Stamford AFC for next season.
Duffy has been an integral part of the Stamford squad and is relishing his seventh campaign at the Zeeco Stadium.
He has netted 66 goals in his 184 appearances for the club ahead of next season's Southern League Premier Division Central campaign.
Duffy said: "My decision to stay was an easy one.
"From day one, the club has shown me love and support which in the world of football is hard to come by.
"I believe in what the gaffer is building and I want to be part of it.
"There's so much unfinished business and I'm ready to give my all. I can't wait for the new season to begin."
Duffy is the first player to commit to the Daniels for next season with manager Graham Drury expecting others to follow suit as well as newcomers joining the club.
Drury said: "The big man is our first player to stay with the club and I am so chuffed to get this done.
"There will also be news over the next couple of weeks about existing players as well as some new faces joining the Daniels.
"Work hasn't stopped and it will continue to compete in what looks a tougher season ahead with the league looking so strong."
Defender James Blunden has departed the Daniels to join Northern Premier League Premier Division side Cleethorpes Town while Ashton Offler and Luke Redfern are also moving onto pastures new.
Offler is looking for a club closer to his home after returning to Stamford for a second spell last season while Redfern is searching for regular game-time after an injury-plagued campaign following his arrival from Halesowen Town.
Stamford start their pre-season preparations for next term with a friendly against United Counties League Premier Division North neighbours Blackstones on Saturday, July 5.
That's followed by two high profile friendlies against League One opposition.
They host Peterborough United at the Zeeco Stadium on Tuesday, July 8, before entertaining League Two champions Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, July 12, with a noon kick-off.
Stamford then travel to St Neots on Saturday, July 19, before a trip to Lincoln United on Tuesday, July 22.
They welcome Wellingborough Town to the Zeeco Stadium on Saturday, July 26, before hosting National League North side King's Lynn on Tuesday, July 29.
Pre-season is completed by a trip to Northern Premier League side Belper Town on Saturday, August 2.
