Deeping Rangers travel to Shirebrook Town after defeat against Bourne Town
Boss Brett Whaley is urging everyone in the Deeping Rangers camp to stick together as they aim to bounce back from their derby disappointment in a massive match on Saturday.
The Clarets were unable to repeat their recent run of good form on Wednesday night as they went down to a 3-0 away defeat at Bourne Town.
The reversal leaves Rangers just a point clear of the relegation zone ahead of Saturday's trip to second-from-bottom Shirebrook Town.
Whaley said: "The important thing for us is to stick together because we've had some good performances and good results recently.
"This isn't one of them but these are the sort of results that you learn from rather than the good days.
"It is a bit of a reflection from us and it's now our job to pick the boys up for what is a massive game on Saturday.
"I understand for our supporters that Bourne is a really big game because it's a local derby but Saturday is massive for us because of what it is.
"We've got some big games coming up and we've got to pull together now."
Whaley had no complaints about the outcome of the derby duel as goals from Martin Tudosa, Zak Munton and Henry Dunn secured victory for the Wakes.
He also feels that the Rangers faithful need to remain patient as the former Spalding United boss looks to revive the club's fortunes after a tough start to the season.
He added: "It was a disappointing result and disappointing performance and we can't get away from that.
"You have to give Bourne credit though because they're a very good side and you can clearly see why they're where they are in the league. I thought they were very good and we didn't get close enough to them.
"There is a lot for us to work on but that performance from Bourne hasn't just happened this season.
"They have been consistently winning games during the past couple of seasons and are building a side which they've done over time.
"It won't happen for us overnight so we need a bit of time and patience from people.
"I can guarantee that everyone at the club is working hard on and off the pitch and our aim now is ensuring that we stay in this division to play in these sorts of games next season."
Deeping have been drawn away at United Counties League Premier Division South side Godmanchester Rovers in the Hinchingbrooke Cup. The tie is due to take place on Tuesday, November 26.
