Stamford AFC have two home games in the Southern League Premier Division Central
Manager Graham Drury wants his Stamford side to turn two great away performances into a pair of special home displays as the Daniels return to action at the Zeeco Stadium.
Stamford have secured four points from their last two games on the road in the Southern League Premier Division Central.
They shared the spoils at Royston Town on Saturday after being hit by a late equaliser following a dominant display.
This was followed by a 2-0 away success at Biggleswade Town on Tuesday night which moved Stamford to within four points of the play-off spots.
They now face a home double-header as Lowestoft Town are the visitors to the Zeeco Stadium on Saturday before Stamford host Redditch United on Tuesday night.
Drury said: "We did well at Lowestoft but I rate their two wingers who are really dangerous and, if you don't keep them quiet, then they will hurt you.
"We've got to start finding the goals and make sure that we turn our home form around a little bit and get three points on the board.
"They are two really big games.
"Matty Clarke at Redditch always has a good side but they've been struggling a little bit lately.
"They have been the nearly men and losing by the odd goal but we've got to turn up at home now.
"We've had two great away performances and we need to back it up with two special home performances."
The lack of goals has been a cause for concern for the Stamford boss this season.
The Daniels have scored the fewest number of goals of all the sides in the top half of the division this term.
And they will be without top scorer Jack Duffy for the next two games following his sending off at Royston on Saturday.
Fellow frontman Richard Gregory is also expected to be sidelined for around a month after sustaining a groin injury at the weekend.
Drury commented: "We've dominated both the last two games but missed a couple of chances at Royston where we've got to do better.
"We're not scoring enough goals because we're not ruthless enough.
"We had only scored four goals in the last six games before Tuesday night.
"It's been the difference this year in that we haven't killed teams off.
"We need to find our shooting boots with the games coming thick and fast now.
"It's going to be difficult with Jack Duffy missing because he's been an unbelievable player for us.
"It's a big loss but the other players have got to step forward now and start adding goals."
Two of Stamford's last three goals have come from set pieces with defenders Ashton Offler and James Blunden on target in the last two games.
It is a part of the game which Drury feels is crucial to his side and his thoughts were backed up after listening to Liverpool manager Arne Slot following their win over Manchester City at the weekend.
Drury explained: "I said to the boys before the Biggleswade game about watching professional football and how I had been listening to Arne Slot.
"He said that in the big games you have to come out on top in set plays and win those battles.
"You can't lose a set play battle if you want to come out on top.
"We got goals from it on Saturday and Tuesday and it was interesting to hear Slot say that.
"When you think about it, in those tight games, it can come down to who scores from that extra set play."
Stamford lost out on penalties to Cleethorpes Town in the semi-final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup on Thursday night.
The Daniels were defeated 4-3 on spot kicks after the last four tie had finished 3-3 at the end of 90 minutes.
Brad Dockerty had the Northern Premier League East Division leaders a first half advantage which was cancelled out by a Jack Duffy double after the break.
Stacey Freeman then headed Stamford into a 3-1 lead before the Owls hit back with two goals in the final 11 minutes through Adam Haw and Curtis Bateson.
Jon Challinor, Tom Ward and Freeman all scored from the spot for Stamford but, although substitute goalkeeper Tom Jackson saved the final Cleethorpes penalty, Duffy was unable to convert to take the tie to sudden death.
Cleethorpes will face National League North side Scunthorpe United in the final at Lincoln City on Tuesday, March 25.
