10 things to do in Lincolnshire for under £10 this January

If you’re feeling the pinch after a dear Christmas but longing for a pick-me-up from any post-festive season blues, never fear.

Most of us feel the need to pull up the drawbridge on our spending after splurging on Christmas treats, but there’s plenty of places to go and things to do that won’t break the bank or plunge you into any more spending guilt.

We’ve found a varied range of family-friendly activities and attractions, all for under a tenner per person and within easy reach of your doorstep.

Rand Farm Park

The award-winning family-friendly attraction, near Lincoln, is offering discounted tickets at a bargain £5 until January 31. As well as hand-on experiences with farmyard friends, there’s plenty to do indoors for the kids, including soft play and air cannons. And there’s even more outside if the weather’s set fair, including mini golf, adventure playground, pedal go-karts and all-weather tractor rides.

Details: Limited tickets are available each day at £5 per person, rising to £6, then £7, and so on. Tickets must be booked before 10am on the day of your visit to qualify for the discount. Book online here.

Kinema In The Woods

A matinee at the movies is an easy win for the whole family if the January weather takes a turn for the worse, and a trip to the wonderfully quirky Kinema in the Woods is a truly bespoke experience. Tucked away in leafy surroundings in Woodhall Spa, the cinema was opened in 1922 and little has changed in terms of decor and ambience. Play your cards right and you may be treated to a performance on the Compton organ which rises dramatically out of the floor in the main cinema during the intermission (remember them?).

Details: Tickets costs £8.50 for adults and £.7.50 for children. For latest screenings and to book, click here.
