The ‘largest’ Merry Makers Market event will be taking place at Springfields Events Centre this weekend
A new Christmas event, which aims to support independent businesses in our area, will be coming to Spalding this weekend.
The Merry Makers Market will take place at Springfields Events Centre on Saturday, December 2 and will be held between 10am and 5pm.
After having two successful years of showcasing creative talent across the county, organisers feel this event will be their largest so far.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Makers said: “Visitors can expect a wealth of artisans include ceramics, candles, illustrators, artists, woodworkers, jewellers, homewares, decor, accessories and much more.
“There’s something for every budget when starting your Christmas shopping, whether you are looking for something small or a bespoke gift - speak to select stall holders for custom creations this Christmas.”
If you are feeling peckish, food lovers will be able to enjoy the wide variety of tasty treats on offer, including cakes, shortbread, savoury treats, chocolate and much more – the event even offers treats for your four legged friends.
Some of the makers joining in with the seasonal fun include Alison Kemp Glass who will be selling her fused glass artwork, Alice’s Crafty Girls bringing some cheeky crochet creatures and knitted creations, Stamford based ceramicist Claypigs, Robin Rose Bakes who will be selling a variety of gluten and dairy free bakes, Something Wicked, From the Sea, Nina Allan Textiles, North Lincolnshire based Fallen Oak and Chilli Fever – which is set to bring a selection of spicy sauces, jams, honey and oils.
The festive day offers something for the whole family. Children can enjoy getting creative in the colouring corner and can even design their own ornaments on the day.
Both parking and entry for the market will be free.
