Cinders will have a ball with the Players
Final preparations are coming together for Stamford Pantomime Players production of Cinderella, which opens at the Corn Exchange on December 28.
It’s a very traditional style pantomime with slapstick, lots of gags, and of course plenty of audience participation in the shows which has more than 80 people involved on and back stage.
Stamford Pantomime Players are now celebrating over 60 years of productions in the town . There are plenty of new performers in the cast alongside old favourites Kevin Paige and Michael Lee who have been trending the boards with SPP for more than 60 years combined.
There are three sets of dancers from babes to seniors and a large chorus belting out modern tunes for everyone to join in with.
Theatre manager Judith Mackie, says: “We so look forward to the Pantomime here at the Corn Exchange, it’s a real family festive extravaganza.
“We love to see all the little girls coming in their Princess dresses and the incredible noise heard from the auditorium from all the shouts of ‘Oh yes he can’ and ‘he’s behind you’.”
