Stamford punk rock band March to the Grave to play 40th anniversary gig with Peterborough band Destructors 82 at Mama Liz’s




An iconic town band are to play a special 40th anniversary gig next week.

Stamford punk rockers March To The Grave will take to the stage for a hometown show along with Peterborough-based Destructors 82 on Friday, October 20.

The bands will celebrate the anniversary of their legendary gig together at Peterborough’s Golden Fleece in 1983 with a return match in the cellar at Mama Liz's Voodoo Lounge, in North Street.

They will be supported by Nottingham band Aubrey Eels and the Baron who will be keeping well out of the Stamford-Peterborough rivalry.

The recently reformed Destructors 82 feature two original members of its original early 1980s line-up, Gizz Butt (guitar) and Andy Mac (drums),and they are joined by vocalist Chris Lovell and bass player Jonny March from Resistance 77.
