Amphetamine possession costs Boston factory worker £365
Being caught in possession of a drug has cost a factory worker £365.
Mariusz Kuzniar admitted being in possession of amphetamine when police were called to his ex-partner’s home July 14.
Prosecutor Jade Salter told Boston Magistrates’ Court the 43-year-old was initially arrested for a stalking offence, but upon being searched officers discovered a ‘small bag of white powder’.
“It was established is was class B amphetamine,” she added.
“The defendant was interviewed and admitted the possession of the class B drug.”
In defence, Phillipa Chatterton told the court no further charges were brought regarding the allegations of stalking, adding her client only had a ‘small amount’ of the drug on him.
“There was a full and frank admission in interview where he said it was for personal use,” Miss Chatterton said.
Factory worker Kuzniar, of Daisy Dale, Boston, appeared in court after finishing a night shift.
Speaking through a Polish interpreter he pleaded guilty to the offence on Wednesday (August 28).
Kuzniar was fined £200 and ordered to pay an £80 surcharge plus £85 costs.
