Rocket Environmental Services, which has been appointed to help with the works on Rosegarth Square in Boston, is calling for people to sign up and get their hands dirty from Saturday, October 19 until Saturday, November 2.

Those taking part will join the crew on-site and become part of the exploration to uncover more about the history of the area.

Natasha, an operations director from Rocket Environmental Services, said: "We are excited to be able to design and undertake this project and we hope that it will encourage people to find out more about both history of Rosegarth Square and the plans for its future".

Additionally, the company is calling on residents who may have knowledge or interesting facts about Rosegarth Square’s history.

Schools are also being invited to get involved with outreach activities and workshops designed to align with the school curriculum.

Cllr Anne Dorrian, leader of Boston Borough Council, said: “The council is thrilled to embark on this archaeological journey at Rosegarth Square.

“This project not only aims to uncover the rich history of our town but also brings our community together in a meaningful way.

“By involving local residents and schools, we are keen to foster a deeper connection to our heritage and provide a unique educational opportunity.

“I encourage everyone to participate and share their knowledge, as we work together to reveal the fascinating stories hidden beneath our feet.”
