Police shut Boston and Sibsey roads after person was hit by train – with disruption for Grantham, Skegness and Nottingham rail services




Emergency services are at the scene of an incident in which a person is said to have been hit by a train.

Police have shut Pilleys Lane in Boston and Hurn Lane in Sibsey as a result.

As a result no trains are travelling between Boston and Skegness for the next couple of hours and services on the Nottingham to Skegness line – via Grantham – are disrupted.

A statement from the police said: “Road closures are currently in place at Pilleys Lane in Boston and Hurn Lane in Sibsey after an incident on the trainline.

“Emergency services are on the scene and motorists are asked to avoid the area, especially because further road closures may be needed.”

Passengers are urged to check details of their services before they travel.
