Four arrested after pedestrians shot with BB gun from car in Boston and Wyberton




Arrests have been made after reports of pedestrians being shot by a BB gun.

The incidents occurred yesterday evening (March 25) in Wyberton and Boston.

A female pedestrian and supporters leaving Boston United’s Jakemans Community Stadium in Wyberton following the Pilgrims’ 3-0 victory over Southend United were the victims.

“The first incident is reported to have happened just before 9pm, when a women was walking between Sleaford Road and Lister Way, Boston,” a Lincolnshire Police statement said.

“She reported seeing a red barrel from a BB gun pointing out of a silver VW Golf before feeling a pellet hit her.

“The second incident was reported shortly after 10pm where a father and his young son felt pellets hit them as they were leaving Boston on the A16 heading towards Kirton.

“We are appealing for any information that will help our investigation especially anyone else who was hit by pellets last night in the Boston area.”

Police say four people have been arrested and remain in custody.

“We have broadened our witness appeal to include an appeal for information of a similar incident that has been reported whereby the occupants of a silver VW was seen firing a BB gun at people standing on the side of London Road, Boston, around 4.30am on Tuesday, March 25,” an update added..

The four men remain in custody.
