Golfer Jordan Wrisdale triumphs on the Clutch Pro Tour with victory in the Tangier Championship at Heythrop Park
Golfer Jordan Wrisdale has secured his first victory of the season on Europe's biggest development tour.
Wrisdale is predominantly playing on the Clutch Pro Tour this season and triumphed in the Tangier Championship at Heythrop Park.
He was the leader after the opening two days after twice shooting scores of 65 (-6).
He went into the last day on -12 in total with the final round going to a three-man play-off where Wrisdale came out on top with a winning birdie on the par five 18th.
It capped a fine start to the season for Wrisdale who is attached to Woodhall Spa Golf Club.
The Boston-based player has already secured top 10 finishes in Oman for the La Vie Masters (sixth) and Al Mouj Challenge (ninth) tournaments.
He has also competed in the United Arab Emirates Championship and Moroccan Masters where he finished equal 15th and tied 14th respectively.
His success at Heythrop Park was his first event back on home soil with two more tournaments taking place in this country this month.
A competition at St Mellion in Cornwall starts tomorrow (Tuesday) and runs until Thursday before an event next week (May 28-30) at Belton Woods near Grantham.
