Lincolnshire County Council results for Boston as Reform UK win every seat




Reform UK has taken all six Boston divisions in the Lincolnshire County Council elections.

Before the vote on May 1, the seats were held by five Conservatives and one Independent.

Among the defeated Conservatives was former Boston Borough Council leader Paul Skinner, who lost his borough council seat in May 2023 but had remained a county councillor until now.

Another was Anton Dani, who served as the 485th Mayor of Boston during from May 2019.

Former Boston South councillor Alison Austin (Independent) and former Boston Rural councillor Michael Brookes (Conservative) did not seek re-election in this year's vote.

New county councillors for Boston:

Boston Coastal – Alistair Arundell (Reform UK), 1,451 votes

Boston North – Magdalena Cullen (Reform UK), 806 votes

Boston Rural – Paul Lock (Reform UK), 1,435 votes

Boston Skirbeck – Samuel French (Reform UK), 966 votes

Boston South – Barry Daish (Reform UK), 1,148 votes

Boston West – Michael Cheynew (Reform UK), 848 votes

The borough also showed strong support for Nigel Farage’s party in the first-ever Greater Lincolnshire mayoral election, with 7,285 votes cast for Reform UK candidate Andrea Jenkyns. Her Conservative rival, Rob Waltham, received 2,695 votes in second place.

Sally Anne Horscroft (Green Party) – 774

Andrea Marie Jenkyns (Reform UK) – 7,285

Marianne Jane Overton (Lincolnshire Independents) – 1,193

Jason Stockwood (Labour and Co-operative Party) – 897

Rob Waltham (Local Conservatives) – 2,695

Trevor Young (Liberal Democrats) – 513

Turnout for Boston Borough Council: 27%
