Santos Print moves into former HSBC building in North Street, Bourne




A building which has stood empty for more than three years after a banking giant closed its town branch now has a new tenant.

Santos Print will be moving into the former HSBC in North Street, Bourne with doors expected to open to customers next month.

A refurbishment project is currently underway to get the building ready for the printing company.

Owner, Leandro Santos, said: “We weren’t expecting or planning it but the opportunity came up.

“It is in a better location with more traffic driving by and has more open space.”

HSBC shut its Bourne branch in November 2020 due to falling customer numbers and the building has remained empty since.

Santos Print, which was set up 10 years ago, is currently based in Abbey Road.

Santos Print started out printing magazines but now offers a range of printing and embroidery services for clothing and accessories.

Leandro said: “The inspiration for the business came as out of the blue customers were asking us to print stuff. We thought why not?

“We changed a lot to cover areas we never expected.”

He added the team remains at the heart of the business.

A business is also moving into the former HSBC bank in Stamford.
