Bourne drink driver banned from roads for 12 months
A drink driver has been banned from the roads for a year and told to pay £645.
Callum Daniel Samuel Beveridge was stopped by police at 3am at a McDonald’s restaurant in Bourne on November 12.
There he failed a roadside breath test.
“It’s a straightforward case,” said prosecutor Turan Sunat.
“Police responded to a call of a drunk driver at McDonald’s in Bourne.”
Beveridge, 26, gave a reading of 52 micrograms of alcohol in 52ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
In defence, Ashley Barnes told the court Beveridge was of previous good character.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the offence at Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Beveridge, of Holland Close, Bourne, was banned from the roads for 12 months, which could be reduced to nine months if he completes the drink driver rehabilitation course.
He was also fined £400 and ordered to pay the £160 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
