Fire in Tunnel Bank, Bourne was caused accidentally




A blaze at a town business was caused accidentally, according to a fire and rescue service.

Lincolnshire firefighters spent five hours on Saturday (April 26) tackling the blaze in Tunnel Bank, Bourne.

Crews from Bourne, Stamford, Market Deeping, Corby Glen, Spalding, Grantham and Kirton were all called to the scene.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze and thermal imaging cameras to ensure it had been put out.

The commercial building where the fire started suffered smoke damage as well as significant fire damage to some of the contents inside.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: “Fire investigations have now concluded and the cause has been determined as accidental.”
