Bourne Spring Clean campaign encourages people to carry out a litter pick

A week-long campaign will help to keep the streets tidy.

Bourne Town Council is leading a spring clean campaign next week with the aim of collecting 100 bags of litter from the town’s streets.

People living in Bourne, Cawthorpe, Dyke and Twenty are being encouraged to take part in a litter pick between Monday, April 7 and Sunday, April 13. They can start in their own garden, street, workplace or local park.

Last year’s campaign coincided with the 70th anniversary of Keep Britain Tidy and resulted in 136 bags of litter being collected.
