Court date for Matthew Warner accused of GBH in the Burghley Arms pub, Bourne
A man has denied a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm following an alleged fight in a pub.
Matthew Warner, 27, is accused of inflicting grievous bodily to another man in the Burghley Arms in North Street, Bourne.
The incident is alleged to have happened on the night of Sunday, July 14 last year.
Warner, who is currently bailed to an address in Peterborough, pleaded not guilty to the offence when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.
Recorder Caroline Goodwin KC adjourned the case for a trial that will take place in over a year’s time at Lincoln Crown Court. The date is set for August 10, 2026, and the trial is expected to last four days.
Warner was granted bail on conditions that he does not contact any witnesses in the case or visit the Burghley Arms.
He must also obey a night time curfew at an address in Peterborough unless he is working nights.
