Lincolnshire Police called to stabbing in Manning Road in Bourne




A man has been injured after a stabbing in a town street.

Police were called to Manning Road in Bourne at 7.20pm yesterday (Tuesday, January 30).

A man sustained injuries to his back and head with what police believe was a bladed weapon.

An air ambulance was called and crews arrived at the scene within 20 minutes to treat the patient.

He was then taken to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in police custody while inquiries are ongoing.

Update: Man released on bail.
