Firefighters tackle large blaze on South Fen Road in Bourne

Fire crews have tackled a significant blaze that started on Christmas evening.

The fire broke out around 8pm on South Fen Road in Bourne, with five appliances, a high-volume pump, and an aerial ladder platform deployed.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue urged residents nearby to keep windows and doors closed for safety.

By early morning, the incident was under control. At around 6am, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue reported that all crews had left the scene.

A re-inspection is planned for later today to ensure safety measures remain in place.
