Bourne 2 Shine support group moves to new base at Wake House

A support group for children with disabilities and additional needs has secured a permanent home.

Bourne 2 Shine will now be based at Wake House in Bourne, offering a central location for people needing to access its services.

A spokesperson said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for all involved. It will enable more groups, more drop in sessions and consistency.”

The Sunflower Room was officially opened on Saturday alongside a range of entertainment for families to enjoy.

Children were able to take part in circus workshops, crafts and face painting while parents had the chance to find out more about what Bourne 2 Shine offers, including coffee mornings, a teatime club and excursions.

Bourne mayor Helen Crawford attended the event.
