Santa’s sleigh route for 2024 helped by Bourne and District Lions Club
Santa is setting off on his annual sleigh ride through Bourne and the surrounding areas on Friday.
Helped by the Bourne and District Lions Club, Santa will spread cheer to children in the run-up to Christmas.
He will be passing the houses of as many good children as he can while helpers rattle collection buckets in a bid to raise funds for worthy causes.
People can track Santa’s journey each night at www.santabourne.org to have the best chance of catching him incase his route changes for any reason. If all goes to plan, he will be out and about from 6pm to 9pm on the following days:
Friday, November 29 - Elsea Park - East from Quayside to Tilia Way.
Monday, December 2 - Elsea Park Oak Spring Gardens from Co-op food store to The Gables roundabout.
Tuesday, December 3 - Bourne east from Stanton Close to Edinburgh Crescent.
Wednesday, December 4 - Bourne west from Beaufort Drive to Hazelwood Drive.
Thursday, December 5 - Mill Drove from Kingsway (east access) to Arnhem Way
Friday, December 6 - North Road from Catholic Church to North Road top.
Monday, December 9 - Rippingale and Haconby.
Tuesday, December 10 - Thurlby from the post office to Horseshoe pub.
Wednesday, December 11 - Swallow Hill and Northorpe from the top of the hill to Pulford Close.
Thursday, December 12 - South Road from Great Northern Gardens to Holloway Avenue estate.
Friday, December 13 - Morton west - Hanthorpe from the church to Hanthorpe.
Monday, December 16 - Morton east from the Old Station Yard to the Five Bells pub.
Tuesday, December 17 - West Road and Bourne Heights from the Pyramid Club to behind Warner’s.
Wednesday, December 18 - Saxon Way from St Gilbert’s Road to Pinewood Close.
Thursday, December 19 - Beech Avenue from West Road to Stanley Street.
Friday, December 20 - Abbey Road from Nowells Lane to Grosvenor Avenue.
Santa will also be on his sleigh outside from 9am to 4pm at Marks and Spencer supermarket on Saturday, December 7; Tesco supermarket on Saturday, December 13 and Sainsbury’s supermarket on Saturday, December 21.
