Elsea Park Primary Academy retains its UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting School Award




A school has demonstrated its commitment to teaching children about respecting other people’s rights.

Bourne Elsea Park Primary Academy has retained its gold level UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting School Award.

The school was reassessed last term and pupils were seen to form relationships based on mutual respect and trust, and understand how their rights are connected to school life and to their local and global communities.

Head of school Louise Jordan said: “Congratulations to our whole school community, pupils, staff, parents and carers, who helped to showcase our deep-rooted passion for creating a culture of respect and equality, where every child feels valued and empowered.

“Yet again this has helped us to shine amongst an elite group of schools across the country recognised as beacons of rights-respecting excellence.”
