Bourne Tractor Run raises money for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance
Crowds of people lined the route of a charity tractor run.
Forty-seven drivers joined the Bourne Tractor Run as it set off from engineering firm JJ Mac on Sunday morning before travelling through the surrounding villages.
The event was organised by Lisa Sleight whose father Tim came up with the idea after he bought a vintage 1963 Fordson Super Dexta tractor.
The family was keen to bring a tractor run to Bourne and decided to use it as a fundraiser for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
Lisa said: “It was an epic day. It was amazing to bring something like this to Bourne and to see so many come out to support it. My dad is still grinning from ear to ear.”
The route took drivers through Hanthorpe, Stainfield, Kirkby Underwood, Hawthorpe, Irnham, Swinstead, Creeton, Little Bytham, Witham-on-the-Hill, Manthorpe and Thurlby before heading back to Bourne and JJ Mac.
The charity donations are still being counted but the final total will be announced on the Bourne Tractor Run Facebook page, along with updates on whether the event will return next year.
Lisa added: “I’m so grateful to everyone who supported the event, especially JJ Mac and Gareth from Lincolnshire Search and Rescue.
“We had people travelling from Scotland and Yorkshire to take part and I’ve received so many thank you messages since the weekend. I’d love for people to let me know if they would like to see the event return next year.”
