Toft Golf Club has been included in Golfshake's list of the top 25 most improved courses
Toft Golf Club has been included in Golfshake's list of the top 25 most improved courses this year out of 3,000 nationally.
This is a fantastic achievement for all involved as it is collated from visitor reviews which are wholly impartial.
The greenkeeping team at Toft, under the supervision of Tim Hales, have worked incredibly hard and their commitment to producing a course both members and visitors can be proud of has now been recognised in this publication.
Toft Golf Club was the vision of Derek Lees and was opened in 1988, the first new course in the area for many decades.
Sadly, Derek passed away during the Covid pandemic but through the determination of his two daughters, Marie and Mandy, to carry on his legacy, the club has continued to go from strength to strength.
This has been supported by head professional Mark Jackson who, along with his team, have worked tirelessly to ensure that the experience off the course is as good as it is on it.
These off-course improvements have come in abundance.
Four new reciprocal agreements have been formed over the last 12 months with Scraptoft, Charnwood Forest, Kibworth and Blankney.
The club is now active on a range of social media platforms and members and visitors alike have enjoyed the new club lounge, showing Sky Sports.
As well as this, Toft continues to possess one of the most popular driving ranges in the area, again welcoming a constant stream of both members and visitors.
The improvements and investment at Toft will continue as the club looks to keep moving towards its goal of being one of the highest quality venues in Lincolnshire.
