Bourne Town travel to face Market Drayton in the FA Vase
Bourne Town continue their three-pronged cup quest when they visit Market Drayton Town in the second round of the FA Vase on Saturday.
The Wakes are still in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy and made progress in the United Counties League KO Cup last weekend to earn a quarter-final tie at Rugby Borough.
They travel on Saturday to face a Market Drayton side who are now plying their trade at step six of the non-league pyramid.
The Gingerbread Men have featured at step four for a number of seasons but now play in Division One South of the North West Counties League where they are currently in ninth place with an unbeaten home record.
The match kicks-off at the earlier time of 2pm with Bourne facing a 220-mile round trip to Shropshire.
Manager Michael Goode said: "We've got a really early start but we'll be going there to try and win the game.
"Market Drayton are flying at the moment which suggests they're getting back on track because they are a big club at this level.
"Their home form is really good but we've played a lot of away games recently, so we're used to being on the road now.
"You never really know what to expect in the FA Vase but we're in the groove of going away to games so we'll see what we can do and, like all cup competitions, you will then have your fingers crossed for a home tie in the next round if we get through."
Bourne return to United Counties League action on Wednesday night with a home match against Deeping Rangers in the Premier Division North.
The derby duel is scheduled to be the first match at the Abbey Lawn following the changing room refurbishment project that has seen Bourne play all of their games away from home since early September.
They then travel to table-topping Eastwood on Saturday, November 16, before visiting Pinchbeck United in the quarter-finals of the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy three days later.
Bourne complete the month with an away match at Belper United on November 23 before a home double against Newark & Sherwood (Tuesday, November 26) and Melton Town (Saturday, November 30).
Deeping are without a game on Saturday while Blackstones travel to Clipstone in Division One.
