Former Hull City football player, forward McCauley Snelgrove who also played for Cleethorpes Town and Northern Ireland Danske Bank Premiership side Crusaders has been dropped by Gainsborough Trinity after struggling to find regular game time
A highly-fancied player who was described as ‘The non-league Jack Grealish’ when he was signed in July has been let go by his club.
"We can confirm that McCauley Snelgrove had his contract terminated late last week and he has now joined North Ferriby permanantly," said a spokesman from Gainsborough Trinity.
"Since signing from Hull City Macca had struggled for regular game time."
The forward had only made three starts and one substitute appearance.
"We wish him well in the future," added the spokesman.
Snelgrove previously had a successful loan spell with Cleethorpes Town where he made eleven appearances for the Owls.
He also spent time in Northern Ireland where he played for Danske Bank Premiership side Crusaders.
