Victory at the Burghley Park Sixes and in the Lincolnshire Premier League for Bourne Cricket Club
Bourne followed up their success in the popular Burghley Sixes tournament by recording a fifth consecutive win in the Lincolnshire Premier League on Saturday.
The Abbey Lawn club had been victorious 24 hours earlier in the annual Burghley Park event after ending Oundle's reign as Sixes holders with an emphatic success in the final following their win over Ketton Sports in the last four.
They then continued their fine league form with an eight-wicket away win at Grimsby Town to maintain their fourth place in the standings.
Grimsby had been bowled out for 178 after electing to bat first as Liam Thompson and Dan Freeman led the Bourne attack.
Thompson took 4-37 from his 10 overs while skipper Freeman finished his nine overs with 4-28 to put Bourne in a strong position.
Sam Evison set the reply on its way with a quick-fire 23 before Ben Woodward and Jordan Temple took charge.
The duo both hit 10 fours and two sixes with Woodward falling for 65 as Temple finished not out on the same score after taking Bourne to victory inside 27 overs.
The win leaves Bourne just 13 points off top spot as league leaders Bracebridge Heath returned to winning ways with a 144-run home win over Spalding.
The Lincoln side made 308-7 from their 50 overs and then dismissed Spalding for 164 in their reply.
Market Deeping were on the receiving end of some brutal batting as they lost by 154 runs at reigning champions Scunthorpe.
The title holders had been reduced to 13-2 when Kester Sainsbury dismissed both openers courtesy of catches from Marcus Telford and Sam Malton.
However, this brought Priyanshu Khanduri and Henry Wilson to the crease and they put the Deeping bowling to the sword.
The duo put on a 289-run stand for the third wicket with Khanduri cracking a sensational double century.
The Sri Lankan smashed 28 fours and four sixes in his 204 before Malton took the catch off Matthew Mills' bowling to dismiss the home ace.
Wilson was equally prolific as he plundered 22 fours and three sixes in his 154 before being caught by Sam Jarvis off the bowling of Aashar Mehmood.
It helped Scunthorpe score an imposing 437-7 with Deeping falling well short in their reply despite a valiant effort of 283-4.
Mehmood made 128 which featured 18 fours and two sixes while George Woods added 60 as Deeping returned home with eight points which keeps them one clear of bottom-of-the-table Nettleham who caused an upset after beating second-placed Lindum by four wickets.
Burghley Park were beaten by 38 runs in their match at Sleaford who made 254-9 after batting first.
Alex Ashwin, Chris Logan and Josh Weller all took two wickets each for Burghley who were dismissed for 216 in reply with Gareth Hook hitting a half-century.
