Bourne Town host Deeping Rangers in a United Counties League Premier Division North derby
Bourne Town return home for the first time in more than two months when they host Deeping Rangers in a derby duel tonight (Wednesday).
The Wakes have been playing all of their games away from home since September 7 due to a changing room refurbishment project at the Abbey Lawn.
Work has now been completed ready for their United Counties League Premier Division North clash against their near neighbours.
And, after back-to-back cup successes, manager Michael Goode is hoping his side can add another victory to a crucial run of games for the Wakes.
He commented: "We've got a really tough run of games but we're ready for it and we're looking forward to Wednesday.
"The changing rooms look really good and the chairman (Chris Good) has worked really hard on it which he deserves a lot of credit for.
"It takes one person a lot of time to apply for the grants and things are moving forward nicely off the pitch which is good for the club.
"We are starting to get things right on the pitch as well and hopefully we can get a big crowd on Wednesday night to come out and support us."
Bourne have dropped down to seventh place and outside the play-off spots due to their cup commitments but have games in hand on most of the sides above them.
They face a Deeping side who have moved out of the relegation zone after an upturn in form following the appointment of boss Brett Whaley.
Bourne were 2-1 winners in the first league meeting of the season in September with Goode predicting another close contest.
He added: "We're probably catching Deeping at slightly the wrong time because of the form that they're in.
"But, when you have derby games against the likes of Deeping, Wisbech and Boston, it doesn't matter where either side is in the league table.
"They are all really tough games so we've just got to play like we have for the past couple of weeks, get on the front foot from the off and dig out that clean sheet that we want because we know that we've got people in the team who can score goals."
Bourne will be boosted by the return of Dan Flack and Kyle Rowell who missed their FA Vase win at the weekend.
Striker Tom Siddons - who is yet to make his Bourne bow after signing from Stamford - has seen a specialist about his knee injury.
Initial fears over a torn cartilage have been allayed and the forward doesn't require an operation but he still remains sidelined for the time being.
Deeping were without a league game at the weekend and narrowly lost 2-1 at title-chasing Lincoln United in their last match.
