Bourne will become a French market town on Friday when up to 14 traders will be promoting and selling food, fashion and other goods.The market with goods from across the English Channel takes place outside Bourne Corn Exchange from 8am until 2pm on Friday, October 16 when there will also be vintage music and for family entertainment for shoppers.Coun Linda Wootton, portfolio holder for arts, leisure and culture at South Kesteven District Council, said: “The aim is to give shoppers something different in Bourne where retailers will be selling a flavour of French goods that we hope will attract increased visitors from in and around the district.”“Whatever the weather, we want people to head to the market in Bourne on October 16 and sample something new, whilst also taking in what our regular and visiting traders have to offer.”
