Grantham

During a recent visit to Grantham, a simple event reinforced my opinion that the group of people governing this once thriving market town have little consideration for the prosperity of local shops and businesses. I’m talking about the over-zealous traffic wardens.

As an avid reader of the Journal, whose Friday nights are not complete without a thorough perusal of what’s happening in and around Grantham, I must say how much I enjoy reading it.

In reply to last week’s letter about street parking.

Mrs Janet Charlotte Phelan, of Lodge Way, Grantham, has died in Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. She was 64.

Mrs Rose Ada Smith, of Church View, Great Gonerby, has died in Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. She was 91.

Crews from Grantham were called to a reported fire on Market Place yesterday.
