Lincolnshire Police arrest man after discovery of 150 cannabis plants in Heapham
A man has been charged after more than 150 cannabis plants were found being grown.
Lincolnshire Police visited a home yesterday (Thursday, April 25) in Heapham, near Gainsborough, following intelligence about a potential cannabis grow.
They entered the house, which is believed to be unoccupied, just after 3.30pm and found around 150 plants being grown across two levels. These ranged from newly planted crops, to mature plants.
The electricity had been bypassed and needed to be made safe by engineers from the power grid, who needed a cherry picker to access cables due the way they have been bypassed.
Mici Agron, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene.
He charged at 1.18am today (Friday, April 26) with being concerned in the production of the class B drugs and remanded into custody to appear in court today.
Specially-trained officers remain on the scene today to dismantle the grow, and the plants will subsequently be destroyed.
