Woman in her 90s airlifted to hospital after Gainsborough crash




An elderly woman was airlifted to hospital.

The pedestrian, who is in her 90s, was involved in a collision with a lorry in Lea Road, Gainsborough, earlier today and suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

A force statement said: “A female pedestrian in her 90s has been taken to hospital following a collision with an HGV in Lea Road, Gainsborough.

“Emergency services attended the scene, near to the B&Q store, following a call received at 10.44am today (20 April). (1/3)

“Shortly after the collision the woman was taken to hospital by air ambulance with potentially life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.

“We are now appealing for anyone with dashcam footage, or who witnessed the incident, to contact us on 101, quoting Incident 137 of 20 April.”
