Lincolnshire Police launch murder investigation after death of 44-year-old woman in Gainsborough

An investigation has been launched into the murder of a 44-year-old woman.

Police found a woman with serious injuries in Wheeldon Street, Gainsborough, at 4.20am today (July 28).

Sadly she died a short time later in hospital.

A force statement said: “A scene guard is in place on Wheeldon Street and will remain for some time.

“We are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help with our investigation so that we can piece together what happened.”
