24 members of organised drugs gang are jailed for up to 18 years after importing huge supplies of cocaine into Lincolnshire
Members of an organised crime group have been handed custodial sentences for their roles in the supply of cocaine to Lincolnshire.
The Class A drug was being moved in large quantities from Sheffield and Essex into Boston, Spalding and Skegness between April 2017 and June 2018. The defendants received a combined total of over 265 years imprisonment.
The crime groups in Sheffield and Essex were operated by Sheraz Mohammed and Nicky Joseph respectively. Martin Murphy and Daniel Beeken were responsible for the onward supply into Lincolnshire.
This concludes an extensive investigation carried out by East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) Serious Organised Crime and Lincolnshire Police. The prosecution said the organised supply of multiple kilograms of cocaine resulted in significant cash profits.
As part of the investigation, EMSOU officers intercepted over 2kg of cocaine. HH Judge Pini said it is likely more than 20kg was moved from Sheffield into Lincolnshire, with each kg having a value of £48,000. Between 10kg and 20kg was thought to have entered the county from Essex.
The scale of the operation was exposed through the meticulous collection and presentation of thousands of pages of material and exhibits including surveillance and Cell Site Analysis, which confirms where a mobile phone has been used and when. Officers also recovered and forensically examined, cash, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Deputy Chief Constable Jason Harwin, the National Police Chief Council’s lead for drugs, said: “I welcome these sentences which have been achieved through the dedication and determination of EMSOU and Lincolnshire officers. Drug dealers cause devastating damage to communities and the vulnerable people who they supply.
“When dealers are put behind bars, others simply fill the void they have left. We will continue to bring drug dealers to justice, but we have to see this as a wider societal and public health issue that the police cannot solve on their own. There must be a focus on supporting and diverting those that need illicit drugs to eliminate the problem.”
The following sentences were handed down:
DANIEL BEEKEN (41) of Campains Lane, Deeping St Nicholas in Spalding to 16 years, six months. He pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
MARTIN MURPHY (51) of Windsor Bank in Boston to 18 years, eight months. He pleaded guilty to two counts of Conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
SHERAZ MOHAMMED (42) of Prince of Wales Road in Sheffield to 15 years, 9 months. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
MOHAMMED HANSAR ALI (30) of Horndean Road in Sheffield to 11 years, 3 months. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
MOHAMMED WAQAR (31) of Firth Park Crescent in Sheffield to 7 years, 9 months. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
NICKY JOSEPH (41) of Eden Court, St Mark’s Field, Rochford, Essex to 13 years, 6 months. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
REBECCA PATRICK (30) Eden Court, St Mark’s Field, Rochford, Essex to 6 months, suspended for 18 months. She pleaded guilty to allowing premises to be used (for the supply of drugs).
NEIL DODD (58) of Spalding Common, Spalding to 13 years. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
MATTHEW CREESE (36) of Clough Road, Gosberton Risegate, Spalding to 10 years, 8 months. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
ROSIE WARREN (28) of Clough Road, Gosberton Risegate, Spalding to 4 years, 6 months. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
AMANDEEP SINGH (42) of Mill Drove South, Cowbit, Spalding to 6 years. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
SCOTT HURFORD (44) of Park Road, Spalding to 12 years. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
JOHNATHAN KENDRICK (39) of St Laurence Close, Surfleet, Spalding to 10 years, 6 months. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
MARTIN MARSH (33) of Beck Bank, Quadring Fen to 12 years, 7 months. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs and possession of class B controlled drugs.
PAUL WEBB (34) of Linchfield Road, Deeping St James, Peterborough to 9 years. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
JASON BLOOR (39) of Church Lane, Skegness to 11 years, 6 months. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs and possession of class B controlled drugs with intent to supply.
JAMIE SYNDERCOMBE (aka Quinn MONCLER) (33) of Edinburgh Drive, Kirton to 7 years, 3 months. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
HEIDI MURPHY (46) of Woodthorpe Avenue, Boston to 12 years. She was found guilty after trial and convicted of 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
JOSHUA WONG (29) of Ward Crescent, Fishtoft, Boston to 9 years, 7 months. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs and possession of class B controlled drugs.
PAUL WILKINSON (42) of Hudson Way, Skegness to 14 years, 4 months. He was found guilty after trial and convicted of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
DARREN PALMER (48) of Windsor Bank, Boston to 12 years. He was found guilty after trial and convicted of conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs.
CHARLOTTE BROOKES (29) of Mawson Gardens, Wainfleet, Skegness to 3 years, 2 months. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A controlled drugs and possession of class B controlled drugs.
