A-levels: More impressive results from The King's School




Pupils at The King’s School are celebrating significant success following today’s publication of ‘A’ level examination results.

Twenty nine students attained at least three ‘A’ grades or better.

This year the top achieving students are:

Freddy Young – 4 A*s and 1 A grade

Freddy attained A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry with grade A in General Studies. He now goes on to Birmingham University to study Chemical Engineering with International and Industrial Study.

Sam Salaam – 4A* grades

Sam attained A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics. From September he will study Computer Science at King’s College, Cambridge.

Cameron Cox – 3A*s, 1A and 1 B grade

Cameron attained A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics with grade A in Chemistry and grade B in General Studies. From September he will study Aerospace Engineering at Bristol University.

Oliver Jakes – 3 A*s and 1 A grade

Oliver attained A*s in English Literature, Psychology and General Studies, with a grade A in History. He goes on to study History at Durham University.

Yaseen Othman – 2A* and 3 A grades

Yaseen attained A*s in Biology and Economics with grade A’s in Chemistry, Mathematics and General Studies. From September he will study Medicine at Queen Mary’s, London University.

Head Master Frank Hedley said: "It has been a privilege to work with this superb cohort of young men and I am delighted to see King’s students achieving such excellent results.

"These results are testament both to their hard work and to the advice and support of their teachers and parents throughout their ‘A’ level studies. I wish them every success in the next phase of their career."
