A1 now clear between Newark and Grantham near Claypole after crash involving HGV

A crash on the A1 has caused severe traffic delays this afternoon.
Police partially closed the A1 southbound due to a collision between a HGV and a car on the Claypole slip road partially blocking the road.
There were delays of at least 25 minutes on the A1 southbound between the Coddington turnoff and where the B6326 joins the A1.
Recovery teams were on scene to help clear the road.
The AA is reporting that the road is now clear.
