Amber weather warning of snow and ice for Lincolnshire and Rutland

An amber weather warning has been issued for the county.

Snow and ice is expected in Lincolnshire and Rutland from 6pm on Saturday (January 4) until midday on Sunday (January 5).

A yellow weather warning was issued earlier this week, but this has since changed to an amber warning.

Travel delays are likely over the weekend, and some road closures may be put in place.

There is also a chance rural communities may be cut off, according to the Met Office.

Untreated pavements and cycle paths may also be impassable.
