Asda Grantham is the place to go for romance

If you are looking for love, then Asda seems like it’s the place to shop.

A second couple from Grantham have been in touch to say that they too found love among the aisles, after reading our story about James and Maureen Miller, who got married after meeting when Maureen worked as a cashier on the checkouts at Asda, Grantham.

Julie and Colin Pattison, have just celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary after meeting at the supermarket in October 2005.

Julie, who works as a florist from the couple’s home in Manthorpe, said: “I already knew Colin but we hadn’t seen each other for 17 years. Then we just bumped into each other in Asda’s chocolate aisle.”

The rest they say is history.

Their daughter arrived in 2008 and the couple were married in 2010.

Julie, who has two children from her first marriage added: “Shopping in Asda certainly brings back memories.”
