These are the events that the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham is hosting for youngsters during autumn




A range of events at the Guildhall in Grantham will keep youngsters entertained this autumn.

The fun doesn’t need to stop as children head back to school this September with a range of activities for all ages on offer at the Guildhall Arts Centre.

A variety of events including workshops and live performances will run right up to the end of the year.

Councillor Paul Stokes, cabinet member for culture and leisure, said: “Our arts centres boast exciting programmes this autumn and we look forward to welcoming in visitors of all ages to take part in interactive workshops or enjoy theatre, cinema and music performances.”

With a brilliant array of stunt work, dazzling acrobatics and comedy, the Splash Test Dummies are world-class circus artists with performances suitable for the whole family.

They’ll be at the Guildhall Arts Centre on Thursday September 28 and Friday September 29.

For little ones with lots of energy to let out, Disco Toddlers is a monthly chance for zero to four-year-olds to dance, sing and dress up.

Costumes are highly encouraged and each session is themed such as animals, Halloween and Christmas.

From colouring sheets to Halloween decorations, youngsters can let out their creativity with a Halloween Arts and Crafts session on Wednesday October 25.

A family-friendly adventure takes place across Britain’s treasured towns, cities and countryside as the Rhubarb Theatre performs Finding Chester on Tuesday October 24.

Known for their imaginative styles of storytelling, this performance will be fun-filled with lots of puppetry and masks, dancing, songs and laughter to be expected.

Audiences of all ages can step into an enchanting and magical world as Frozen Junior, performed by the New Youth Theatre, takes to the stage between Monday 6 and Friday November 10.

To continue the festivities, Aladdin will take centre stage as it flies into the Arts Centre in December 2023 and January 2024.

In association with Polka Dot Pantomimes, Aladdin will tell the much-loved tale alongside spectacular scenery and costumes, amazing special effects and plenty of audience participation.

Relaxed performances are also available and are designed to be sensitive to audience members who may benefit from this.
