Plans submitted for Serenis Beauty to move into garage at owner’s home in Grantham
A beauty business owner is hoping to convert her garage into a salon to welcome more customers.
Jessica Read, 28, started Serenis Beauty during the first Covid lockdown in 2020, as soon as social distancing rules allowed.
She started off by offering treatments on a mobile basis, but now she spends some of her time between providing treatments at home.
Jessica, who was born and raised in Grantham, worked at Living Health for eight years before having a baby and setting up her own buisness, Serenis Beauty.
She has submitted a planning application to convert the garage in her Dysart Road property into a beauty salon, where she can offer a range of treatments including massage, facials and pedicures.
Jessica said: “I am hoping to convert the garage as it will help me to continue treating my clients in the best way I can and will allow me to welcome new clients.
“I am also nearing the end of a course to enable me to offer oncology massage to people suffering with cancer, which is something that would mean so much to me and my family.
“I work on a one to one basis, with 30 minutes between every client to ensure everything I fully cleaned and sterilised before they arrive and so that they don't feel rushed in any sense.
“There will be off road parking on our drive and I hope to just generally create a relaxing place for people to come and relax, offload any worries and leave feeling their best!”.

Jessica’s garage is currently being used as a storage space for home use.
