Cafe Allez from Vale of Belvoir provided caffeine boost for England’s Lionesses
A cafe took its mobile shop to Leicester where it provided coffee for England’s women’s football team.
Vale of Belvoir-based Cafe Allez! has noted its pride after providing a caffeine boost for the Lionesses when they visited Leicester for a match against Belgium last month.
The business’ mobile shop travelled to the team’s hotel on October 31 before their match at the King Power Stadium, serving them coffee before the game.
They then followed the team to the FA’s home at St George’s Park in Staffordshire to help aid recovery and relaxation.
Mark Trevarthen from Cafe Allez! said: “We’ve found with many elite athletes that great coffee is a vital part of their day.
“An especially well-made coffee can absolutely boost motivation and energy levels.
“This is why our service tends to go down so well at sporting events: in recent times we’ve catered for many: from local cycling sportives, to the England netball team, the Vitality Roses, during the Commonwealth Games.
“When the Lionesses got in touch recently, it was very clear that fine coffee really matters for their whole squad, including the vital support staff.
“So we were stationed at the team’s hotel on match day to serve the squad prior to their sold-out game at the King Power Stadium, Leicester, against Belgium.
“We then travelled to the FA’s impressive facility at St George’s Park the next day to aid recovery and relaxation.
“It was a true highlight of our season!”
