Can you help reunite Grantham woman with her long-lost brother?

A woman has been trying to find her brother for 16 years and hopes Journal readers will be able to help reunite them.

Kelly Brickles last saw her brother - Mark Anthony Stevens - when she was six years old.

She hopes that by tracking him down she can “fix the piece of me that’s missing”.

Kelly, 35, of College Street, Grantham, said: “I only ever met my brother once, I think I was about six, for about five or 10 minutes. I’m not sure if it was social services or his foster mum that brought him in to see us for the last time.

“I have been trying for years to find him. It means the world to me, everything.”

She believes he was born in Grantham Hospital in March or April, 1980, and was fostered. Kelly believes he may have been cared for by an elderly couple in Caythorpe. It is possible that he stayed in a half-way house in Stamford for a time before joining the Army.

Kelly, who lives with her partner and two daughters, has been searching for Mark since she turned 14.

She told the Journal: “It feels like there has always been a part of me missing. I need to resolve this and find him. It means so much, I need to know if he is well and OK.”
