Newton House Care Home in Grantham saddles up for wild west event




A Grantham care home held a country and western day with cowboy-themed fun.

The team and residents at Newton House Care Home in Barrowby Road and residents enjoyed the themed day, which included a ranch inspired party, musical entertainment and fancy dress.

The day saw residents and family members come together and enjoy a wild west themed quiz, prompting much discussion over everyone’s favourite western classics.

The afternoon saw the home’s day of cowboy fun reach a climax as home-favourite singer Steve Carmel returned to give a “rootin’tootin’” music performance.

The audience of residents and family members sang along and danced to a collection of country and western classics.

Sonia Fairhurst, general manager at Newton House, said: “We’ve had an amazing day at Newton House. Our team of colleagues and residents really embraced the spirit of the Wild West!”
