Chance of 'late night romance' saw uninsured driver on drugs come to Grantham
The prospect of a little "late night romance" saw a man jump in his car and drive from Nottingham to Grantham - despite having no insurance and having taken drugs.
The Lincolnshire Police specialist operations unit tweeted this morning (Tuesday) about the arrest last night.
After pulling the car over, drugs swipes showed positive for cocaine and cannabis.
The unit tweeted: "Second drug driver for [roads policing unit] last night, this driver travelled all the way from Nottingham to Grantham for a late night romance.
"Unfortunately he didn’t have insurance and tested positive for cocaine and cannabis #noinsurancenolove #driveinsured #fatal4"
The unit arrested another uninsured driver earlier this week.
The driver was also found to have no licence.
