Choral singers wanted for Haydn concert in Grantham
In April this year, Grantham Choral Society will be singing The Creation by Haydn in St Wulfram’s Church.
The society is asking anybody who would like to join it and take part in the concert to get in touch. Haydn’s The Creation is a popular work and a staple of many choirs.
Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at The King’s School, Brook Street, from 7.30pm. Copies of the work may be loaned from the society.
Gill Charles, vice-chairman of the choral society, said: “There are no auditions but a rudimentary knowledge of music would be a help. All we ask is a desire to sing choral music with our enthusiastic members. With the support of our professional conductor and accompanist, you will steadily develop your singing skills while rehearsing for an exciting concert.”
If you would like to take part, contact secretary Pat Watson on 01476 568319. For more details visit www.granthamchoralsociety.co.uk where you can also find an enquiry form to register your interest in singing with the choir.
