Cocaine possession and drink driving among the charges faced by Grantham defendants
Grantham area defendants brought before the courts recently include:
Calum Steven Stinson, 26, of Railway Close, South Witham: admits damaging two glass panels in a front door at a property in Great Close, South Witham, on November 13, 2020, and failing to surrender to custody at Boston Magistrates’ Court on January 28 having been released on bail. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £300 in compensation, a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Georgina Gee, 33, of Brittain Drive, Grantham: guilty of using a Vauxhall vehicle in Union Street, Grantham without insurance, on June 1, 2020. She was fined £660, ordered to pay a £66 victim surcharge and £90 costs and her driving licence endorsed with six penalty points.
Edward Harrington, 48, of Oakleigh Road, Grantham: admits assaulting a man by beating and entering as a trespasser Grantham Book Services with intent to do unlawful damage, both on December 20, 2020. He was made the subject of a community order including a rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £250 in compensation and a £95 victim surcharge.
Sandrijs Strautmanis, 40, of London Road, Grantham: admits driving a BMW vehicle in Sankt Augustin Way, Grantham, on November 14, 2020 with 90 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35mcg. He was fined £381, ordered to pay a £38 victim surcharge and £85 costs and banned from driving for 23 months.
Alan Craig Corby, 55, of East Avenue, Grantham: admits destroying the windscreen of a Mercedes Benz and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to the car’s owner, leading him to believe that violence would be used against him, both in East Avenue on December 21, 2020. He was made the subject of a community order including a rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £400 in compensation, a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Richard William Brown, 34, of George Street, Grantham: admits driving a Peugeot 208 in St Catherine’s Road, Grantham, on January 1, 2021 with 46mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He also admits driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without insurance on the same date. Brown was fined £440, ordered to pay a £44 victim surcharge and £85 costs and banned from driving for 14 months.
Astra Majauskitet, 33, of Beck Gardens, Grantham: admits being in charge of a Peugeot 208 in St Catherine’s Road, Grantham, on January 1, 2021 with 62mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath; aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring Richard Brown to drive the vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence; and aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring him to do so without insurance. She was fined £200, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs and her driving licence endorsed with 10 penalty points.
Shayne Frederick Eaton, 40, of Melbourne Road, Grantham: admits resisting a police constable and having in his possession a quantity of class A drug cocaine, both in Canberra Crescent, Grantham, on January 3. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge. The cocaine was seized and destroyed.
Thiagaraja Santhakumar, 48, of Ryedale Close, Grantham: admits driving an Audi Q7 while banned from driving; driving without due care and attention; driving a vehicle owing to the presence of which personal injury was caused to another person and damage caused to their Skoda Citigo and to a set of traffic lights, then failing to stop; failing to report the accident within 24 hours; driving without insurance, all in Manthorpe Road, Grantham, on October 22, 2020. He also admits committing a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence made for an offence of drink driving. He was committed to prison for eight weeks, ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 12 months.
Chris James White, 37, of Bell View, Grantham: admits stealing alcohol and food worth £88.10 from a Grantham Co-op and driving an Audi TT without insurance, both on November 4, 2020. He was ordered to pay £88.10 in compensation, fined £120 and his driving licence endorsed with six penalty points.
Alice Elizabeth Thulborn, 31, of Shakespeare Avenue, Grantham: admits assaulting a female by beating in Grantham on June 23, 2020. She was discharged conditionally for 12 months and told to pay £100 in compensation and a £22 victim surcharge.
